THE LOBSTER WHARF next to the iconic Cook’s Lobster & Ale House, pictured here, will soon be changing hands, as it is up for auction on April 25.The wharf is currently owned by Norman C. Parent, a Bailey Island resident. In 2015, Parent sold the adjacent Cook’s Lobster & Ale House to Nick and Jennifer Charboneau at auction while seeking bankruptcy protection. Although he kept the commercial wharf, it seems that that will now change hands as well. The Harpswell property will be auctioned off later this month by Tranzon Auction Properties. The 9,000 square foot decked area consists of two buildings; an insulated and cooled bait shed, and a tank room/office. Parent currently leases the facility to Eastern Traders, but it is up to the new owner whether or not they will continue that lease.
