Dispatchers in Brunswick and Bath confirmed late Friday night that a search-and-rescue effort was underway on the Androscoggin River.
One person was pulled from the river and taken to a hospital, while the search continued for another person, WGME-TV said.
The Bath Fire Department said the search was taking place near Bay Bridge Road in Brunswick, the station reported.
No further information was available just after midnight Saturday.
