Air Force Reserve Capt. Kristin J. Montville has been decorated with the Air Force Commendation Medal for outstanding achievement or meritorious service in the performance of duties on behalf of the Air Force.

A 2005 graduate of Falmouth Academy in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Montville earned a bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Wellesley College.

She is the daughter of Kathleen M. Meade of Pembroke, Massachusetts, and Gerry Jochems of Windham.

Lt. Col. Jeremy Boardman was promoted to his present rank in the Army in February.

A 1993 graduate of Scarborough High School, Boardman has served in the Army for more than 18 years. During his initial enlistment, he was selected to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, commissioned as a second lieutenant in 2000 with a bachelor’s in economics.

Boardman’s service includes eight years in Germany, two years in Afghanistan, one year in Iraq, and one stateside assignment as an assistant professor of economics, accounting and finance at the U.S. Military Academy.

Boardman is assigned to the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Kaiserslautern, Germany, as the chief operations system research analyst. He plans to retire in 2018.

A decorated officer, his awards include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, the Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign Medal, the Operation Enduring Freedom Campaign Medal, the NATO Medal and seven Overseas Service Ribbons.

A father of four children, Boardman, his wife, Jessica, and their family are stationed in Germany. He is the son of Richard and Sally Boardman of Scarborough.

Air Force Airman Carl Martin II graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland near San Antonio, Texas, following an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

A 2010 graduate of South Portland High School, Martin is the husband of Cassandra Martin.

Air Force Airman Jordan T. Williams graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, near San Antonio, Texas, following an eight-week program.

A 2016 graduate of Lake Region High School in Naples, Williams is the son of Jesse H. Williams and Jessica K. Brown of Naples.
