YARMOUTH — Cate Ralph drove in five runs Wednesday to lead Yarmouth to a 14-1 victory against Kennebunk in a Western Maine Conference softball game.

Ralph finished with three hits, including a two-run double in the first inning, and a triple. Ceanne Lyon of Yarmouth (12-4) allowed four hits and one earned run with six strikeouts in six innings.

Brittney Gregoire hit a solo homer for Kennebunk (9-7) in the third.

THORNTON ACADEMY 16, WESTBROOK 1: The Golden Trojans (13-3) scored eight runs in the second inning, including a solo home run by Olivia Howe and a two-run homer by Hannah Collins, and defeated the Blue Blazes (4-12) at Saco.

Howe finished 4 for 4, adding a pair of doubles and driving in three runs. Amanda Bogardus was 3 for 3 and drove in two runs, and Kaitlin Verreault added a solo homer and a double.

Elizabeth Richardson singled in a run for Westbrook.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7, POLAND 0: Alison Martell pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out 12 and walking one as the Patriots (9-6) handled the Knights (6-10) at Gray.

Martell added a pair of singles for Gray-New Gloucester, and Haley True, Alexa Thayer, Hannah Dixon and Mikaela Ryan had multiple-hit games.

Sarah Walton doubled for Poland.

SACOPEE VALLEY 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Madison Day and Brynn Hink each had two-run homers in a five-run sixth inning as the Hawks (12-4) downed the Seagulls (3-12) at South Hiram.

Day added a pair of doubles and drove in six runs, Haiden Sawyer had three hits, including a double, and Grace Sanborn added a pair of doubles for Sacopee.

Hink allowed only a sixth-inning single, striking out nine.

YORK 5, LAKE REGION 1: Abigail Orso struck out 10 batters in relief and picked up the win as the Wildcats (5-9) defeated the Lakers (2-14) at Naples.

Leading 2-1 after three innings, Orso gave York a cushion with a two-run homer. Sophia Stephens, Kayla Dredge and Layne Patry each had three hits to pace a 16-hit offense.

OCEANSIDE 4, WINSLOW 1: Chloe Jones struck out 10 and allowed three hits and three walks to lead the Mariners (14-2) over the Raiders (11-4) at Winslow.

Jones, who hit an RBI single in the third inning to put Oceanside ahead 4-0, finished with three hits and two doubles. Abby Veilleux added two hits, including a double in the first inning; she later scored.

Bailey Robbins hit a double for Winslow in the seventh and scored on a wild pitch.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 12, FREEPORT 0: The Raiders (11-3) scored four runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Kaylee Emery, and pulled away from the Falcons (2-14) in a five-inning game at Fryeburg.

Nicole Bennett and Makayla Cooper each had two-run doubles in the second as Fryeburg increased its lead to 8-0.

Cooper and Mackenzie Buzzell finished with three hits each, and Bennett and Tina LeBlanc each added two hits for Fryeburg.

PORTLAND 12, BONNY EAGLE 3: The Bulldogs (14-2) scored five runs in the first and third innings, opened a 10-3 lead and defeated the Scots (5-11) at Standish.

Morgan Boyle led Portland with four hits. Taylor Crosby, Annie Twombly and Boyle each drove in two runs.

Lauryn Fagan had two RBI for Bonny Eagle.

Sydney Gilbert earned the win, allowing four walks and five hits with four strikeouts in six innings.

TEMPLE 12, VALLEY 9: Daphne Labbe homered among her three hits and the Bereans (6-8) defeated Valley (3-10) at Waterville.

PORTLAND 12, DEERING 8: Georgia Stoddard scored three goals to lead eight scorers as the visiting Bulldogs (4-8) defeated the Rams (3-9) at Portland.

Grace Cox and Morgan Kierstead each had a pair of goals for Portland, and Chloe Kilbride, Annika More, Isabella More, Isabella Edwards and Maria Smith also scored.

Kiaya Gatchell scored three goals and Alli Donovan added two for Deering.

Abby Kreickhaus had 13 saves for Portland.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 9, CAMDEN HILLS 8: Hannah Burns scored three goals to lead the Eagles (5-7) over the Windjammers (2-10) at South China.

Hayley Hinds scored two goals for Erskine, and Katelyn Hustus, Audrey Jordan, Olivia Kunesh and Bella Johnson added goals.

Hazel Delehey and Sarah Contento each had two goals for Camden Hills.

MESSALONSKEE 20, GARDINER 4: Ally Turner had nine goals and two assists as the Eagles (11-1) handled Gardiner (4-8) at Oakland.

Lauren Pickett added two goals and three assists for Messalonskee, and Katie Seekins scored twice.

Lauren Chadwick had two goals and Julia Hinkley made 12 saves for the Tigers.
