FREEPORT — The Freeport Rotary Club is sponsoring its 22nd Annual Close to the Coast 5K and 10K Road Races. The two races will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, as part of Winslow Park’s Family Fun Day in Freeport, rain or shine. A free Kids 1K Fun Run will occur at 10 a.m. A key sponsor for this year’s race is Alta Dental of Freeport. The scenic race courses offer breathtaking views of Casco Bay.

Register for the race at close2coastrace.com until June 16 or on race day between 7:15-8:45 a.m. The registration fee is $25. Those who register by June 2 receive a Close to the Coast Race T-shirt. Prizes for 5K and 10K races will go to the top two finishers in each age category. Prizes for the Kids 1K Fun Run will be provided by Wilbur’s Chocolates of Maine.
