SANFORD — Mitchell Webb hit a three-run home run in the top of the third and Bobby Nicholson pitched seven shutout innings Tuesday as the Keene Swamp Bats topped the Sanford Mainers 4-1 in a New England Collegiate Baseball League game at Goodall Park .

Nicholson allowed two hits and a walk, striking out six.

Webb’s three-run shot gave Keene a 3-0 lead. The Swamp Bats (11-14) added to their lead in the top of the fifth on an RBI single from Robert Boselli III.

The Mainers (10-18) scored in bottom of the ninth with an RBI single from Shaine Hughes, scoring Colby Maiola .


ANDREWS 13, COASTAL LANDSCAPE 4: Cam Guarino recorded four RBI and Andrews (9-4) cruised to victory over Coastal Landscape (8-5) in Portland.

Garrett Tracy earned the win, allowing two walks with three strikeouts in five innings. Guarino had a three-run double and an RBI triple.

WELLS 6, SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 1: Wells (8-4) scored five runs in the top of the seventh and defeated Saco & Biddeford Savings (5-8) in Biddeford.

Cam Cousins allowed one run with two strikeouts over six innings and hit an RBI double in the top of the sixth to put Wells ahead 1-0.

Curtis Petit hit an RBI single for Saco & Biddeford Savings to tie it in the bottom of the sixth.

Owen Sullivan struck out 10 in six innings for Saco & Biddeford Savings.

FAYETTE STAPLES 10, STAPLES CROSSING 8: Zach Ham hit an RBI triple during a four-run third inning, and Fayette Staples (6-6) held on to beat Staples Crossing (6-5) in Saco.

Ethan Tsomides had two hits and three RBI for Fayette Staples, which added four more runs in the sixth to take a 10-5 lead. Connor Caverly had two hits, including a double and drove in a run for Staples Crossing

Jack Cahill and Shane MacNeill each added two hits.

Ryan Penney picked up the win for Fayette Staples, allowing four runs in 52/3 innings.

YANKEE FORD 9, HIGHLAND GREEN 5: Nate Ingalls doubled, tripled and drove in two runs as Yankee Ford (10-3) beat Highland Green (4-8) at Wainwright Field in South Portland.

Ben Conti had three hits and two RBI, and Brogan McDonald hit a two-run double during a five-run bottom of the fifth that gave Yankee Ford a 9-5 lead. Kyle Brennan had two hits and an RBI for Highland Green.

Marshall Peterson struck out seven in three shutout innings of relief to get the save. Ingalls picked up the win.


WESTBROOK 13, FITNESS FACTORY 4: Westbrook led 9-0 after three innings and defeated Fitness Factory over five innings in Portland.

Matt Eugley, Brendan Richardson and Colby Haynes each had two RBI for Westbrook. Brady Desjardins earned the win, allowing three hits with three strikeouts in three innings.

Mike Jones led Fitness Factory with two hits and an RBI.


OLD ORCHARD BEACH 8, PUERTO RICO 7: Edgar Lebron Jr. hit a walkoff RBI double in the 10th inning to lift the Surge (8-8) over the Islanders (3-12) at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach.

The Surge took a 4-0 lead in the second inning as Jake Walters hit a two-run homer. Walters added an RBI double in the sixth to put Old Orchard up 6-1.

Trailing 7-3 in the ninth, Puerto Rico drew three bases-loaded walks, and tied the game on a sacrifice bunt.

Lebron Jr. scored Michael Kruger on the winning double.
