To any and all of the candidates who will be running for governor:

We will support you only if you promise to put the Maine labor history mural back where it belongs – in the lobby of the state Department of Labor – and if you promise to actively fight to erase the stain and embarrassment of Gov. LePage and his longtime health and services commissioner, Mary Mayhew. (She stepped down in May and announced her candidacy for governor in June.)

We need a governor who can govern with intelligence and class, something sorely missed in recent years.
