WATERBORO — David Paul Pelletier, 68, of Waterboro died on Monday, July 24, 2017, at his home in Waterboro.

He was born on Jan. 5, 1949, to Charles and Pauline (Bouvier) Pelletier in Biddeford. He graduated from St. Louis High School, Class of 1968.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1969. After 20 years of faithful and honorable service, he retired Dec. 1, 1989. While in the Air Force, he was a single father and raised his two sons.

His love for sports and debating started in high school, he was on the varsity football and basketball teams as well as a member of the debate team. He had an outgoing and outspoken personality and combined with his thirst for knowledge it made him a formidable opponent in any debate. He enjoyed gambling and card games.

His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of DAV and the Biddeford Eagle’s and was on their Pool League.

David is survived by: two sons, Alan Pelletier of Orange, Texas, and Jason Pelletier and his wife, Julie, of North Waterboro; a brother, Marc Pelletier of Boston, Massachusetts; a sister, Charlene Labrecque of Old Orchard Beach; a nephew, Kevin Labrecque and his wife, Stacy, and their four children; a niece, Aimee Barricelli and her husband, Robert, and their two children; and five grandchildren, Tyler Pelletier, Keannah Breault, Jordan Breault, Ethan Pelletier and Ely Pelletier.

Per David’s wishes, there will be a military funeral at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, at a later date.
