Some observations from a concerned voter: Sen. Angus King says he is an independent.
He caucuses with the Democrats and votes with the Democrats almost consistently.
It was recently reported that he has accepted thousands of campaign fundraising dollars from political action committees led by Sens. Chuck Schumer of New York and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, both very liberal Democrats.
This behavior says Sen. King is a fraud “independent” and appears to use the label as a tactic to mislead voters. “If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck … .” He is a liberal Democrat until proven otherwise.
Sen. Susan Collins has had a career labeled as a Republican.
Her recent negative actions concerning the Republican health care bill (to replace Obamacare) are those of a petulant child who did not get her way. Her vote is very vital to Republican success.
She seems to have forgotten who voted her into office and supported her all of these years.
She needs to get on board with the other Republican senators on this important issue.
