Last month, a family friend in York County was injured in a head-on collision occasioned by a young woman, using her cellphone, mindlessly crossing the centerline.

Just a few days later, a critical number of Maine legislators wisely overrode Gov. LePage’s mindless veto to outlaw sale of cigarettes to immature youth under 21 but decided, mindlessly, that the people of Maine should not be protected on Maine roads from mindless cellphone users.

How? Please explain that.
