Power was restored to traffic signals at Woodfords Corner after a tractor-trailer knocked down a utility pole on Walton Street in Portland.

The accident also affected signals at the intersection of Vannah Avenue and Baxter Boulevard, the city said Thursday.

The city had estimated that it could take Central Maine Power until 6 p.m. to restore service to the area and for traffic to return to normal, but CMP said in a tweet just before 2:45 p.m. that electricity had been restored to the affected areas.
