About two dozen folks — from architects to realtors, housing specialists, city staff  and a citizen or two — took part in a walking tour of the area around the Stenton Trust mill on River Street in Sanford on Tuesday afternoon. The walking tour was a step in the pathway leading to a two-day conference in September about workforce housing — defined as market rate housing affordable for the folks who live here, or want to. Pictured, City Planner Beth Della Valle talks to some of the attendees about the close proximity of the downtown, mill district and residential neighborhoods behind the mill building.
