With all the hatred and nastiness in the world, I thought it might be refreshing to see that goodness still exists.
On Aug. 19, volunteers from the Rock Church on Gorham Road in Scarborough held a mini-serve day at the Village at Oak Hill. At least 25 volunteers came to help with whatever we needed, i.e. general cleaning, vacuuming and rug cleaning, window and screen cleaning and car maintenance check. This was the second year they have provided this service.
In addition to their cleaning service, they presented each of us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and then served us a lovely lunch, including strawberry shortcake. All of us at the Village at Oak Hill wish to thank the Rock Church and their wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to help us.
