The Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick has announced its lineup for the summer of 2018.

Kicking off the 60th anniversary season is “Million Dollar Quartet,” based on the true story of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins coming together for a recording session at Sun Records studios.

The show will run from June 6-23, followed by “Beauty and the Beast” from June 27 to July 14.

Third in the lineup is “Saturday Night Fever,” scheduled to run from July 18 to Aug. 4, and closing the season is “Singin’ in the Rain,” Aug. 8-25.

The Maine State Music Theatre will also hold three Monday concerts: “I Love a Piano,” celebrating the works of Irving Berlin, on June 18; “Bye Bye Birdie” on July 30; and a tribute to the theater’s six decades, “Broadway to Brunswick” on Aug. 13.

In addition, the Theatre for Young Audiences program will present “Cinderella” on June 13 and “Pinocchio” on Aug. 20.

From Aug. 14-26, the theater and Portland Stage will put on “Nunsense” as a co-production.
