River Arts in Damariscotta is featuring the work of artists Joyce Eames Steel, Marcia Brandwein and Suzanne deLesseps, winners of the People’s Choice vote at the gallery.

Works by Marcia Brandwein will be shown at River Arts through Oct. 1.

Steel’s small-scale works, in oil and in acrylic, range in style from realism to non-representational. She paints from her studio in Waldoboro and teaches children’s and adult art classes.

Brandwein works in oil on canvas using design, color and pattern skills gained from her years of experience in textile design. She spends six months in Maine filled with brilliant vistas, colors and textures that she recreates in her paintings.

Suzanne deLesseps worked as a landscape gardener for more than 30 years. She now paints full time at home in Maine and wherever her travels take her. She usually spends several weeks each year painting in France, Italy or Scotland.

River Arts, at 241 Route 1, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. The exhibition runs until Oct. 1. For more information, call 563-1507 or go to riverartsme.org.
