PORTLAND — The Sanford Spartans won their second straight game as they picked up an impressive 31-24 win over host Deering in a Class A showdown on Friday night.

Ryan Connarton rushed for over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Spartans, who also got 100-plus yards from Jordan Giroux and one score.

Sanford is now 2-2 on the year and will host Bangor on Friday.

OOB 37, POLAND 7

The visiting Seagulls improved to 3-1 on the season with a dominant performance at Poland on Friday night.

OOB quarterback Dylan Boudreau led the way with three rushing touchdowns as he scored on runs of 40, 50 and 35 yards.

Boudreau also tossed a 70-yard touchdown pass to senior Ryun Hogan. Dale Lord added a 28-yard rushing score for the Seagulls.

Poland scored a late touchdown to avoid the shutout.

OOB will visit Madison/Carrabec next Friday night.

KENNEBUNK 54, GORHAM 8

The Rams cruised to a 54-8 win over Gorham to stay perfect this season.

Dante DeLorenzo and Cam Lovejoy would score on rushing touchdowns in the first to quickly give the Rams the 14-0 lead.

Zack Sullivan would later return an interception for a score in the second, and Bryan Hickey would haul in a pass for a 21-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 27-0 .

DeLorenzo would add a 32-yard score, and Alden Shields would rush for a score of his own to put the game out of reach at 41-0. Shields would later return a punt for Kennebunk to secure the 54-8 win.

SCARBOROUGH 63, MASSABESIC 14

The Red Storm powered past Massabesic 63-14 on Friday night.

Owen Roberts returned the opening kickoff for the Mustangs to give them the 7-0 lead. Nick Roberge would later connect with Noah McGrath for a score.

FALMOUTH 42, BIDDEFORD 30

The host Tigers led 27-21 in the second half, but Falmouth would outscore Biddeford 21-3 down the stretch to secure the win.
