KENNEBUNK — St. David’s Episcopal Church will conduct the Blessing of the Beasts and Blouses at the Budget Box, 2 Bragdon Lane (behind Anchor Fence on Route 1 South), in the parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Participants are encouraged to attend the event, which starts at 10 a.m. for the first-ever Blessing of the Beasts and Blouses.

In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, the church will honor the sacred role that animals have in our lives and celebrate the work of the Budget Box at the same time.

Representatives from local animal shelters will be on hand.

All pets must be leashed or in carriers.
