I’m writing to ask you to support the re-election of at-large City Councilor Jill Duson, so that she may continue to serve us with her strong, proven leadership abilities.
This is a very important local election, and I strongly encourage you to participate by voting. As Portland struggles with mayoral issues, a divisive political environment and defining the future vision for our city, we need a strong voice of reason and common sense with a problem-solving approach to issues.
Having served with Jill on the City Council, I can honestly tell you that although we did not always agree, I respect her qualities as an effective leader, her compassion, her ability to listen and her advocacy on our behalf. Also, I greatly appreciate the experience and balanced viewpoint she brings to understanding the realities and implications of policy decisions.
Please give every consideration to joining me in support of the re-election of Jill Duson on Nov. 7.
