WEST ALLIS, Wisc. — Robert Mailman Gagne, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Wisconsin.

He was born on March 18, 1941 in Biddeford, the elder child of Roland Robert Gagne and Frances Tarazewich Gagne Mailman.

Robert was a talented athlete in football, basketball and baseball throughout his high school years. After high school, he made the choice to serve his country in the United States Marines where he served from 1960 to 1966.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Robert is survived by his step father Gerald Mailman, a brother Richard Mailman and his wife Suzanne of Portland, seven children and seven grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 239 Beach St., Saco on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Deborah Breault of the First Parish Congregational Church UCC officiating.
