Food Pantry fundraiser
As a Naples resident, it is hard not to notice the good deeds of the Naples Food Pantry. They save so many local families from hunger each week. If you’d like to support their efforts, here is your chance.
Band for Hunger, a fundraiser for the Lake Region Area Food Pantries, is being held at Crooked River Elementary School this Saturday, Oct. 14, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Along with the entertainment, delicious lasagna will be served until 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per senior or child 12 and younger.
This event is sponsored by the Lake Region Hunger Action Committee.
Craft fair season
There’s nothing nicer than a handmade gift. Local craftsman work tirelessly to offer you some really well made, unique gifts. Luckily for us, there are several craft fairs around, presenting an opportunity to get that holiday shopping underway.
The very popular Holly Berry Fair at Lake Region High School is Saturday, Nov. 4. Attending this fair is a great way to shop and support the Lake Region Project Graduation. The event, in the school gym, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The next weekend is the BRAG Craft and Vendor Fair, on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Space to sell your wares is $30, with all proceeds going to the building of a concession stand at the Ham Sports Complex. For more information, contact Lyn at 408-2833.
