BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Senior Health Center recently appointed Shannon Dietz as the director of nursing.

In her new role, Dietz will manage the nursing department and oversee the daily operations of the center’s long-term care and skilled nursing communities.

“Shannon is a valuable addition to our leadership team,” said Kim Watson, Mid Coast Senior Health Center administrator. “Her professionalism and nursing experience will help to ensure that we maintain the highest level of patient care and resident/ patient satisfaction.”

Dietz earned her nursing degree at the University of New England and is currently completing a master’s in health care administration at Kaplan University. She has worked as a registered nurse in skilled and long-term care, and has most recently been the project manager for quality and safety at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with elders in our community,” said Dietz. “Whether individuals come to Mid Coast Senior Health for short- or long-term care, the Senior Health Center has a home-like feel that is represented in the meaningful relationships between staff and families.”

Fully integrated with Mid Coast–Parkview Health, Mid Coast Senior Health Center works collaboratively with Mid Coast Hospital, Mid Coast Medical Group, and CHANS Home Health & Hospice to meet the range of elder care needs in the community. Its goal is to deliver personalized care that promotes independence and enhances the quality of life for each patient and resident.
