Regarding the rededication of the beautiful Lincoln Park fountain (Oct. 10):
It is important to note that the Portland Public Art Committee contributed over $30,000 toward the fountain restoration.
The work, done beautifully by Jonathan Taggart, is part of the Public Art Committee’s responsibility to maintain the pieces of public art in the city’s collection. We are thrilled that our money could help to restore an essential part of the city’s history.
