WATERVILLE — The Thomas College women’s soccer team allowed a goal with 55 seconds remaining in a 1-0 loss to Saint Joseph’s College in non-conference action on Wednesday night at Smith Field.

The Monks improved to 11-4-1 with their sixth straight win, while the Terriers winning streak ended at two games with a 4-10 record.

Saint Joseph’s offense took control in the first half as the Monks outshot the Terriers, 13-1.

The Terriers’ biggest opportunity came in the sixth minute as Nikki Bradstreet’s (Topsham) shot was stopped by Monk keeper Brooke Troup.

The Monks tested Thomas College goaltender Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset) with four scoring opportunities but failed to break the tie before the half.

Gordon shouldered the loss in goal after keeping the Terriers in the game with 13 saves.

Thomas travels to Colby- Sawyer on Saturday for a 12:30 p.m. contest.
