ORONO

University Credit Union, Maine’s only full-service financial institution exclusively serving the University of Maine System’s students, employees, alumni and their families, recently announced several staff promotions in Orono and Portland, one involving a resident of South Freeport.

• Erika Taylor, of South Freeport, has been promoted to branch manager of the newly renovated Forest Avenue branch in Portland. She previously served as assistant branch manager of the Farmington branch, and has been with UCU for three years. In her new role, Taylor oversees all retail functions of the Forest Avenue branch with a focus on member acquisition, staff development and community outreach.

• Jason Preble, of Bangor, has been promoted to information technology manager in Orono. He previously served as senior technology specialist and has been with UCU for 11 years. In his new role, Preble is responsible for managing, overseeing and implementing the credit union’s technology, including its data processing system and various software applications.

• Benaiah Pelotte, of Bangor, has been promoted to campus branch manager in Orono, located on the University of Maine campus. He previously served as assistant branch manager of the 15 Main St., Orono branch, and has been with UCU for three years. In his new role, Pelotte is responsible for all campus branch operations and facilities, as well as developing member relationships within the University of Maine campus community.
