BRUNSWICK — People Plus in Brunswick will mark Veterans Day with readings from a collection of wartime letters, offered by Membership Coordinator Frank Connors who was a paratrooper in Vietnam in 1967-68.
The letters will be read Thursday, Nov. 9, at 1:30 p.m.
Connors said most of the letters were sent home to his family and collected by his mother. The collection also includes a few photographs, and letters to other relatives and friends in his hometown of Bowdoinham. They offer a sometimes graphic description of his life as an airborne infantryman in the central highlands of Vietnam.
This program is free and open to the public, pre-registration is appreciated.
