Jill Duson is a thoughtful and considerate leader who is an advocate for Portland’s immigrant and refugee population. For these reasons and many more, I am excited to support Jill for re-election to the at-large seat on the City Council.

I work daily with immigrants and refugees who are small-business owners and entrepreneurs to help them start or grow their businesses. Jill has consistently been a leader who I know I can turn to whenever challenges might arise, and she has always provided meaningful advice.

Jill has dedicated her life to service, stretching all the way back to her days of civil rights organizing in high school. Since then, she has served the residents of Portland and Maine in various capacities. As a councilor, she has been a strong advocate for those whose voice often gets overlooked. I hope you will join me in supporting Jill on Nov. 7.
