WEST BATH — Kathleen Lavallee won a three-year term on the West Bath Board of Selectmen, defeating her opponent Marc Travis, with 63 percent of the vote. Lavallee won 359-196, with 15 write-in votes.

In the race for the West Bath school board, three candidates faced off for two three-year seats on the board. Mary Wallace easily earned a seat on the board with 42 percent of the vote, while incumbent Robert McDaniel edged out Richard Davis by just 12 votes to win re-election.

“I’m very happy to have been re-elected,” said McDaniel. “And I look forward to playing an important role on the West Bath School Board for the next three years.”

“Thank you for your votes, and congratulations to Robert McDaniel,” said Wallace. “I look forward to serving with everyone on the school board.”

Wallace received 428 votes, with McDaniel and Davis receiving 293 and 281 votes, respectively. There were 19 write-in votes.
