PORTLAND: A Veterans Day parade will begin at Longfellow Square and proceed down Congress Street to City Hall starting at 10:30 a.m., with a wreath-laying ceremony at City Hall at 11 a.m., hosted by the Harold T. Andrews Post 17, American Legion. Speeches will follow the wreath-laying ceremony. Speakers will include Ernest Shorey, Andrews Post 17, American Legion; Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling; and the Rev. William Doughty.

SOUTH PORTLAND: The Veterans Day parade will form at the parking lot at Southern Maine Community College adjacent to the end of Broadway at 9:30 a.m. Parade begins at 10 a.m. The parade ends at Mill Creek Park Veterans Memorial off Broadway. Speakers will include Cmdr. Wes Splettstoesser, American Legion Post 35 South Portland; Cmdr. Stephen Doyle, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 832 South Portland; Capt. Michael Baroody of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Northern New England; Mayor Patricia Smith and City Clerk Emily Scully.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH: A flag ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park at 11:11 a.m, hosted by the Old Orchard Beach Memorial Park Committee, with music by the Don Campbell Band. In observance of the day, ShuttleBus-Zoom will offer free rides to veterans and active military with proper identification.

WESTBROOK: A Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Stroudwater Lodge, 116 Landing Road, starting at 10 a.m. The keynote speaker will be former Navy SEAL Rob Foley.

FARMINGTON: A wreath-laying ceremony at the World War I monument will be held at 11 a.m. on North Main Street, with a ceremony with the Color Guard, Legion and Legion chaplain. A wreath-laying ceremony will be at Meetinghouse Park across from the courthouse to honor veterans of World War II, the Civil War and the Gulf War to present. Another ceremony will be held at the American Legion Hall on the corner of High and Middle streets, followed by a free lunch sponsored by the American Legion and prepared by the Legion Auxiliary.

WILTON: A service will be held at 10 a.m. at the monument on Main Street, including a wreath-laying, speakers and a wreath dropped into Wilson Stream. A service will also be held at 6 p.m. at the Wilton Congregational Church with Sammie Angel as the guest singer.
