BOOTHBAY HARBOR —

The AOS 98 School District, consisting of Georgetown, Southport, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Edgecomb, is currently conducting a search for an interim replacement for Superintendent Eileen King, who has resigned to take a new job as executive director of the Maine Superintendents Association effective January 1, 2018.

Interviews by a sub-committee of the AOS 98 Board will take place in late November with the hopes of making an announcement shortly thereafter. The interim superintendent will have a six-month contract with AOS 98 until June 30, 2018.

After the Board appoints an interim superintendent, it will then conduct a wide-ranging search for the full time superintendent. The search process will include input from community members, parents, and students as well as AOS 98 staff members. The AOS 98 Board plans to have a full time superintendent in place by July 1,2018.
