ROCKLAND (AP) — Maine police say a man was found dead inside a shipping container at a Rockland pier.

Police say the body of 37- year-old Adam Purington was found inside a bait shipping container Saturday morning. The Bangor Daily News reports that Purington had previously slept in the container.

Police Det. Alex Gaylor says the investigation is ongoing, but police do not suspect foul play.

Gaylor says Purington worked on a commercial fishing boat that uses the pier, and would sleep between several locations including the container and local hotels.

The Maine Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
