TOPSHAM — Phyllis (Thomas) Bartlett, age 84, passed away from natural causes alongside her husband David at their home in Topsham. She was born in Lisbon Falls, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kochzuis) Katula.

Phyllis attended school in Lisbon Falls and Bath, graduating from Morse High School in 1951.

Her first husband, Edward Thomas, died in 1973. They made their home in Bath. She married David Bartlett in 1975 and they moved to Topsham in 1976.

She was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone and Telegraph for 25 1/2 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She attended St. Charles Borromeo Church in Brunswick.

Phyllis was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn L. Katula and a brother, Richard C. Katula.

She is survived by a daughter, Eve (Thomas) Duplissis and her husband, Scott Duplissis of Lewiston, a sister, Norma Ward of Warwick, RI, a brother, Brice Katula and his wife Francene Katula of Boise, ID, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation for Mrs. And Mr. Bartlett will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at Stetson Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Bath.
