BRUNSWICK — In 2018, Pejepscot Historical Society is piloting a new “pop-up exhibit” program called Community Collectors in time for the PHS’ 130 anniversary year. Pop-up exhibits are small, easily put together, limited-time exhibitions showcasing a focused area of interest.

PHS would like to have a series of small exhibitions throughout the year that feature collections by individuals in the community.

Collectors of objects that can be easily transported and displayed at PHS interested in having their collection featured for a month should email director@pejepscothistoricalsociety.org by Dec. 4.

Community Collector exhibitions will start in March or April. Collections can be from any time period, including up to the very recent past.

Exhibitions will include a short “collector’s statement,” including a bio of the collector, how she/he started collecting, and a description of the collection. Some Community Collectors may be asked to give a short talk about their collection.
