BRUNSWICK — The Coastal Humane Society is teaming up with Petco of Topsham for All for Holiday Homes, a mega adoption weekend on Dec. 2-3 at the Topsham Fair Mall location. Dozens of puppies, kittens, adult dogs and cats will be up for adoption from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

All for Holiday Homes is a national adoption event organized by Petco to save lives in shelters all across the country. The Petco Foundation will make an additional donation up to $100 to Coastal Humane Society for every adoption during the two-day event. The shelter’s goal is to place 50 animals into forever loving homes throughout the weekend.

This is the eighth large-scale adoption event between the partnering organizations.

The Petco Foundation, in partnership with thousands of local animal welfare organizations nationwide, has helped unite more than 5.5 million pets with loving families through adoptions in Petco stores.

“For those who adopt at these events, they can feel extra good about adopting,” said Kate Griffith, director of community relations for for Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Edgecomb Not only are they opening up their home to new family members, but they’re helping us receive grant funding from the Petco Foundation that will help us save even more lives.”
