Gene was born, a middle child of 7, May 17th, 1957 at Bath Memorial Hospital to Juanita (Richardson) Gomes and Truman Gomes.

They divorced in 1989, he never remarried.

Gene had countless hobbies and interests. You could find him all summer in his many gardens, where you’d be sent home with plenty to eat. He loved to educate, especially on history, politics, music and fishing. He liked to listen to talk radio, ride his horses and be amongst nature. Gene loved guns, hunting and bird watching. He was also great with languages and geography.

We will miss his witty sense of humor, laid back personality and heart of gold.
