As Christmas day draws near, there are still opportunities to visit with Santa Claus. The jolly guy from the North Pole will be making several appearances this weekend. 

  • In Lyman, Santa will arrive by fire truck at the Goodwins Mills Fire Station, 481 Goodwins Mills Road around 4 p.m. on Saturday and stay unitl 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Children can make reindeer food or a holiday craft.
  • In Kennebunkport, Santa will arrive by fire engine at Cape Porpoise Kitchen, Cape Porpoise Square at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Hot chocolate and candy canes will be served. 
  • In Old Orchard Beach, Celebration by the Sea, sponsored by the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce, will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the town square and at the chamber office at 11 First St. There will be a tree lighting in the square, a visit from Santa, music, dancing, arts and crafts and refreshments. 
  • In Old Orchard Beach, Santa will be at the Oceanwood Christmas Spectacular, 17 Royal St. on Sunday. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m., with Santa arriving at 2:30 p.m. There will also be pony rides, a vendor fair and a child-friendly art project. 
  • In Saco, Santa will be on hand at the Saco Museum, 371 Main St., from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. 
  • In Wells, Santa will be marching in the 32nd Annual Wells Christmas Parade, which will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday and run from Wells Plaza north to Wells Junior High School. This year’s theme is A Christmas Wish.
