Biddeford Mayor Alan Casavant takes part in a ceremony last month kicking off the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle campaign. Thursday is Kettle Blitz Day for Salvation Army corps, and the organization is appealing to the public for help. Kettles will be at Walmart in south Sanford from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and at Market Basket in Biddeford from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
