SUMMERFIELD, Fla. — Aline Parent, 97, of Biddeford, died Dec. 27, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Summerfield.

She was born July 21, 1920 in Biddeford, a daughter of Ambroise and Rose Anna (Couture) Petrin and was educated locally.

On Aug. 10, 1939 she married Albert Parent in St. Andre’s Church. She had been employed at the York and Bates mills, Allied Shoe Shop, and the Webber Hospital. She had enjoyed bowling at the Pastime Lanes, going to Sebago Lake with her family, and watching professional wrestling.

Aline was a member of the Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by Albert, her husband of 50 years, in 1989, two daughters Yvette Sylvester in 1999 and Nancy Neault in 2003, two grandsons Marc Sylvester in 1960 and Rodney Parent in 1965.

Surviving are a son, Raymond Parent and his wife Priscille of Sanford; two daughters Elaine Corbeil and her husband Roland of Summerfield, Florida and Claire Ouellette and her husband Gary of Biddeford; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three godchildren.

Visiting Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Anne’s Chapel of St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
