On behalf of the board of trustees of Falmouth Memorial Library, I would like to thank not only the residents of Falmouth, but everyone from across the state and country who donated to the capital campaign. Because of your support, the library will be expanded to meet the growing needs of the community.

Every donation made a difference in helping us reach our goal. We witnessed amazing acts of generosity from John Wasileski donating $250,000 at the beginning of the campaign, to an anonymous donor at that same level, who provided an added incentive at the end. In between, there were countless individuals who helped in different ways. Children in our community gave their own money, while others held fundraising events. People opened their homes so we could talk with their friends and neighbors about the project. We experienced immense support from our seniors and their foresight will ensure a rich legacy. Well over 200 community members joined the 1718 Society, supporting the library and honoring Falmouth’s long history. Falmouth businesses, recognizing the value a strong library brings to our community, also contributed. We received funding from local, state, and national foundations. Our strongest support came from those who live in Falmouth and who recognize the importance of libraries. We cannot thank you enough.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the new and expanded library. We could not have done this without the support of each and every one of you.
