DURHAM — Nomination papers for municipal elections became available at the town office Thursday, Jan. 11.

One seat on the Board of Selectmen, one on the Regional School Unit 5 Board of Directors, and three on the Budget Committee will be on the ballot April 6. Each seat is for a three-year term.

Terms are expiring for Selectman Richard George, School Board member Candace deCsipkes, and Budget Committee members Leigh Fisher and Terry Kirk. Christina Libby resigned from her post on the Budget Committee in fall 2017, but her seat remained vacant and will be filled this spring.

Residents may visit the town office during regular operating hours to pick up nomination papers. Nominees must collect no less than 25 and no more than 100 signatures from registered Durham voters.

Papers must be filed by 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20.
