The new citizens, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ecuador, Iraq, People’s Republic of China, Somalia and Uganda, now live in Biddeford, Blue Hill, Brooklin, Gorham, Lewiston, Portland, Sanford and Westbrook. USCIS periodically holds special ceremonies for children to recognize and celebrate their citizenship, which is generally derived through their naturalized parents or adoption.
