He was married on April 10, 1954, in Presque Isle to Roberta Jordan. Edward served as a Fireman in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring from the Air Force in 1972. He continued working in Civil Service for another 20 years.
Edward was a very loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Roberta Hagerman, his children, Deborah Gagnon and her husband David, Wayne Hagerman and his companion Linda Prairie, Cynthia Beedy and her husband Scott, and Lisa Brittain and her husband Jeff, his grandchildren, Lynn Lowe, Drue Ford, and Katelyn Beedy a great grandchild, Jaxon Lowe, two brothers, Don and Cyril Hagerman of PA, a step brother Leon Ryder of PA and a step sister Theresa. Edward was predeceased by a step brother Mike Ryder.
Private services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
