SANFORD — Lawrence G. Roberge, 70, of Sanford and formerly of Saco, passed away suddenly at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford while surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 24, 2018.

He was born in Biddeford on Sept. 5, 1947, son to the late Aurel and Juliette (Frechette) Roberge.

Lawrence attended Biddeford schools and worked as a supervisor at the Baker Company in Sanford for over 40 years until his retirement.

Lawrence was a hardworking, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who would do anything for his family, including traveling great distances just to reconnect with them. He could wear a tux better than anyone in Hollywood, had a smile that could light up a room and a heart of gold. He was also an avid outdoorsman who could often be found sporting hunting attire.

Lawrence is survived by his two sons, Brian and wife Amy of Franklin, Massachusetts and Robert and wife Amy of Saco; his four grandchildren, Allison, Caitlin, Evan and Ella Roberge; his brother, Armand Roberge of York and his sister, Vivian Roberge of California. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda Camire Roberge.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th from noon to 2 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A graveside service will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in memory of Lawrence, to The American Heart Association.
