Boys’ basketball: The Raiders open a quick nine-point lead and improve to 7-7 with a 64-45 victory.

POLAND — Oscar Saunders scored 13 points and Caleb Bowles added 12 as Fryeburg Academy downed Poland 64-45 in a Western Maine Conference boys’ basketball game Monday night.

Saunders scored eight points while leading the Raiders (7-7) to a 19-10 first-quarter lead. Fryeburg upped the lead to 40-25 by the half and maintained a comfortable lead through the final two periods.

Tyler Tucci led Poland (2-12) with 22 points.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 56, LINCOLN ACADEMY 49: Braden Soule scored 14 of his team-high 21 points in the fourth quarter to help carry Erskine Academy (5-10) over Lincoln Academy (1-14) at South China.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 44, LAWRENCE 41: Josh Goldrup scored a game-high 22 points and Alec Coughlin added eight as the Panthers (10-4) defeated Lawrence (5-9) at Waldoboro.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 59, A.R. GOULD 56: Ian Regan made six 3-pointers on the way to 23 points for the Seagulls (7-7) against A.R. Gould (11-3) at South Portland.

Dale Lord added 12 points and Ryun Hogan 11 for Old Orchard. Alex Shoureas scored 16, Ernest Lorange 13 and Malakai Brimage 11 for the Bears.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

TRAIP ACADEMY 69, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 33: Addy Hale and Reilly Eddy tossed in six points each as the Rangers (6-8) took a 19-9 first-period lead over Seacoast Christian (6-9) at Kittery.

Traip widened the lead to 34-13 by the half.

LAWRENCE 65, MEDOMAK VALLEY 53: Camryn Caldwell scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and Keagan Alley had 15 points and four assists as the Bulldogs (9-5) beat the Panthers (9-5) at Fairfield.

BOOTHBAY REGION 59, WINTHROP 22: Paige Brown scored a game-high 24 points and Faith Blethen added 20 as the Seahawks (15-0) rolled past the Ramblers (7-9) at Winthrop.

WAYNFLETE 47, SACOPEE VALLEY 33: Lydia Giguere scored 16 of her 22 points as Waynflete (5-9) opened a 16-7 first-quarter lead over the Hawks (2-12) at South Hiram.

Anna Wildes finished with 10 points for the Flyers. Brynn Hink led Sacopee with nine.

SOUTH PORTLAND 70, NOBLE 34: Margaret Whitmore scored 17 points to lead South Portland (14-0) past the Knights (2-11) at North Berwick.
