He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on Dec. 23, 1959 a son of the late Alton D. Phillips and Jeanette M. Phillips of Saco, Maine. He grew up in Saco, attending local area schools and graduated from Thornton Academy, graduating in 1976.
Cliff spent some time working for Westbrook Spinning and then went off on his own, running his own business as a roofer and general contractor.
He was a workaholic who enjoyed family time, including children and grandchildren.
Besides his mother, he is survived by three children, Jana Hansen of Lyman, Salli Hansen of Limington and Alton Phillips also of Lyman; and his longtime partner Linda Lambert of Biddeford. He is also survived by his three brothers William Phillips of Saco, Gray Phillips and his wife Tammy of Biddeford and Chuck and his partner Pauline of Saco; as well as his six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 57 Birch St., Biddeford, ME.
