Letter to the editor: The simple approach: Just take the check and cash it

I am admittedly politically naive and perhaps a little slow, but I do not understand why our president, Donald John Trump, is wasting time talking with Sen. Chuck Schumer about funding a border wall. Simply cash the check that came from Mexico. Paul L. Beach Kennebunk
