Rising loud and clear above the early din of campaign rhetoric is the common-sense voice of Terry Hayes, independent candidate for governor. Terry isn’t seeking the approval of a dogmatic political party financed by political action committees and other big money. She is seeking the approval and assistance of Maine citizens who believe it is time their state government started working for them.
As a Clean Election candidate, Terry’s focus is Maine citizens. She’s serving her second term as state treasurer, where her independent political status allows her to work across party lines to seek consensus so Maine people can benefit. Her experiences in the Maine House and as state treasurer have shown her the need for directed, nonpartisan leadership for our state.
