KENNEBUNK — Marguerite Delma (Inniss) Wilcox, 96 years, died Feb. 6, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House following a brief illness.

Marguerite was born March 28, 1921in Kennebunkport, Maine, one of 14 children born to Reuben and Delma (McKenney) Inniss. She attended Kennebunkport schools and worked for Kesslen Shoe and Keuffel and Esser Co. and Miller Pharmacy. On Jan. 19, 1962, Marguerite married Harold K. Wilcox.

Marguerite painted pictures of ocean scenes and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. She also knitted, embroidered and wrote poetry. She was religious, read the bible daily which was a comfort to her. Family history was important to her as was passing on information of those buried in the Wildes District cemetery. People described her as a nice woman and also feisty at times. She will be missed by family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, her son, Peter Inniss, and by her husband, Harold.

Marguerite is lovingly remembered by her sons, Larry Inniss of Lisbon, Maine, Richard Innes and his wife, Jeanne, of Saco; her daughter, Linda Inniss of Eliot, Maine; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Marguerite was especially fond of the visits from her nieces, Judy and her husband, Joe Lauzé and Annette and her husband, Dick Dumais, and from her grandson, Peter Inniss and his wife, Elizabeth.

Following Marguerite’s wishes there will be no public services. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to: North Saco Congregational Church, 131 Heath Road, Saco, ME 04072.
