SCARBOROUGH —  Republican Brad Blake will seek election in Maine House District 28, representing part of Scarborough.

The seat is held by Republican Rep. Heather Sirocki, who cannot run again due to term limits.

“I am excited by the prospect of meeting Scarborough neighbors and I will be honored to represent them in a thoughtful and effective way in Augusta,” Blake said in a press release.

Blake, 68, retired from Unum in 2017. He is a native of Lincoln, and a University of Maine graduate.

He is a founder and former chairman of the Citizens Task Force on Wind Power, a member of the board of directors of Friends of Maine’s Mountains, and a member of the Scarborough Historical Society.
