The date is a lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day — and the concert a perfect way to make merry, organizers say.
The Sassy Sing-a-longs will present four holiday events throughout the year at the Little Theatre in Springvale – the first being this community celebration of St. Patrick’s memorable music.
“Yes, all voices are welcome,” said Lorraine Masure, a member of the group.
The “Sassies” as they’re known, invite participants to the event at 2 p.m. March 10 at the Little Theatre on the Nasson College campus in Springvale.
Masure said the audience will hear and sing, “unforgettable music sprinkled with sassy senior humor and a dash of theater.”
“Featured will be the beautiful tenor performance of Tom Osborne who will serenade the audience with his own melodic interpretations of the music that transports all of us to ‘that dear land across the Irish Sea,’ said Masure.
To enhance the festivities, she said concessions, with at least one neon-green adult beverage, will be available.
The Sassy Senior Sing-a-longs have entertained residents at virtually every nursing or assisted living facility in York County, she said.
There is no admission charge, but donations benefit Nasson Little Theatre.
The Little Theatre is located on the former Nasson College campus, 457 Main Street, Springvale.
