Allison Gray joined the clinical team at Age Management Center in Portland.
Gray brings more than 12 years of nurse practitioner experience in women’s and men’s health, hormone therapy, nutrition and functional medicine. She is an educator at USM and works as a family nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and Women to Women in Yarmouth.


Mercy Hospital announced that Dr. Nicolas Arredondo joined the staff at Maine Spine Surgery.
Arredondo is a board-certified neurosurgeon. He received specialized training in complex spine and minimally invasive surgical techniques, and has expertise in traumatic, metastatic, and degenerative spine pathology.


Dr. Laura Blaisdell and Lisa Toner joined the board of trustees at Mercy Hospital.
Blaisdell is a practicing pediatrician and currently serves as chair of the department of pediatrics at InterMed. She conducts research with the center for outcome research and evaluation at Maine Medical Center Research Institute.



Toner recently retired as director of human resources for Maine Public Broadcasting Network. Prior to that, she was vice president of legal affairs for Hannaford Bros.




The City of Portland’s Barron Center was recently identified as a top performing skilled nursing facility by the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Each year, The ACHCA recognizes top performers with the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. Only 11 percent of facilities nationwide qualify.

Bridgton Hospital presented its inaugural Larry Hopperstead Award for Excellence in patient care to Peter Leighton, M.D.
Leighton was recognized as “a model of a caring physician, who provides exemplary care” to his patients at Bridgton Internal Medicine


Koru Physical Therapy and Wellness, a new women’s wellness practice, opened at 619 Brighton Ave. in Portland.
The practice, founded by Allison Poole, will open in early March. She has practiced for 14 years and was previously located at Casco Bay Physical Therapy in Falmouth. She lives in Portland.
